Project changes

Since the publication of the Coordinator-General's report on the EIS, the proponent has applied for changes to the project.

Change of jurisdiction

Previously, the former Environment Protection Agency was solely responsible for the regulation of Condition 20 (Appendix 1, Schedule 3) of the Coordinator-General's July 2008 change report.

Condition 20 concerns noise generated during the project's operational phase.

Following legislative amendments, this responsibility has been split as follows:

Source of noise Regulatory agency
State-controlled roads Department of Transport and Main Roads
Local roads Brisbane City Council
Non-road noise Department of Environment and Heritage Protection
