Strategic considerations
There are a number of key frameworks, policies, strategies, plans and guidelines at both State and Commonwealth level that underpin infrastructure planning and delivery, and may support and inform agencies’ development of infrastructure proposals.
This collection of resources is not exhaustive and is current as of July 2026. This page will be updated as new strategies and plans are developed in line with government priorities.
Key strategic considerations
Infrastructure proposals for government consideration must align with the Queensland Government’s Objectives for the community and should align with and contribute to the realisation of relevant government strategies and policies.
Infrastructure proposals are expected to detail how the project will fit with, contribute to, or align with key government strategies and plans. Many of these are captured below.
As each proposed investment is unique, not all of these resources will, or should, inform the development of an infrastructure proposal.
