The Coordinator-General has prepared a draft terms of reference (TOR) for an environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Blackwater South Coking Coal project.
The draft TOR sets out the matters BM Alliance Coal Operations Pty Ltd must address when preparing the EIS.
You are invited to comment on whether the draft TOR adequately covers all the matters the project proponent must address when preparing the EIS.
The Coordinator-General will consider your comments before finalising the TOR.

Delegate for the Commonwealth Minister for the Environment decided that the project is a ‘controlled action’.
A project that has the potential to have a significant impact on matters of national environmental significance is called a 'controlled action' and requires approval under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth).
