We're committed to developing Queensland small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) by supporting them to enhance their prospects for securing participation in defence and aerospace industry supply chains. The Defence and Aerospace Industry Development Fund demonstrates this commitment by:

  • enabling Queensland SMEs to develop their capabilities and compete for national and international defence and aerospace industry contracts
  • increasing Queensland SMEs’ exposure and access to defence and aerospace industry supply chains
  • facilitating the acquisition of internationally recognised industry certification.

The fund also provides support for successful applicants to participate in targeted international trade shows to engage with national and international companies in the defence and aerospace industries. As Queensland SMEs secure greater representation and exposure in the international defence and aerospace sectors, we expect demand for the state’s products and services to grow and create new high-skilled job opportunities.
