Village Centre North

The Queensland Government sought expressions of interest from suitably experienced parties or consortia interested in developing Village Centre North, the last vacant development release on The Spit. Submissions closed on 22 April 2026.

The successful developer will be offered a long-term leasehold interest over the land and adjoining seabed.

The Request for Expressions of Interest was the first stage of the open market tender process.

The department is currently reviewing proposals received, with shortlisted proponents to be confirmed mid-2026.
