Black Sky Aerospace

Black Sky Aerospace has been awarded funding under the Queensland Government’s Sovereign Industry Development Fund to build new infrastructure that enables defence and aerospace equipment to be safely tested in Queensland.

Once operational, the site near Thargomindah will provide domestic and allied users with access to large-scale test and evaluation infrastructure.

The project will strengthen Queensland’s role as a key location for defence capability, reduce reliance on overseas facilities, support local supply chains and enable faster development of vital defence and aerospace equipment onshore.
