Local government and community groups

• Infrastructure for Multicultural Communities The Australian Government is inviting organisations to apply for the construction, upgrade or extension of infrastructure for multicultural communities. Applications close 12 November 2026.
• Small Business Month opportunities to get involved for businesses and local councils – held in May 2026.
• Snapshot Climate tool provides greenhouse gas emissions profiles for Australian councils (local government areas), regions, federal electorates, states and territories which are free to download.
• Queensland STEM Engagement Grants support scientists, local governments, organisations, citizen science groups, tourism operators and community organisations to deliver STEM-focused events, educational activities, engagement initiatives or projects across Queensland. Applications close 29 September 2026.
• Multicultural Connect Grants program helps eligible organisations build or upgrade community facilities across Queensland, across two grant program categories:
  • Category A – Small to Medium Grants from $10,000 to $100,000 (excluding GST) applications close 30 August 2026.
  • Category B – Large Grants from $100,001 to $500,000 (excluding GST) with EOIs closing 30 August 2026.
