RTI applications during COVID-19
The department’s Right to Information (RTI) officers are working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time we will do our best to ensure the services we provide are uninterrupted. We request that you email correspondence to firstname.lastname@example.org and pay any fees and charges by credit card. Please be aware that certain documents (such as hard copy documents) may be inaccessible while staff are working remotely. More information about applying for documents during COVID-19 is available from the Office of the Queensland Information Commissioner.
The Queensland Government has made a commitment to provide access to information held by the Government, unless on balance it is contrary to the public interest to provide that information.
The legislation came into effect on 1 July 2009, namely:

How to lodge an application for access to documents under the RTI Act or IP Act.
View a list of applications made to the Department under the RTI Act in the department's disclosure log. Documents released in response to formal applications under the RTI Act are generally published to our disclosure log.
