2022-25 Show Societies Grants program
The Show Societies Grants Program (SSGP) is an annual allocation-based funding program of $2 million supporting Show Societies and affiliated organisations throughout Queensland to conduct annual agricultural shows, totalling $6 million by 2025.
The SSGP provides financial support for operating costs associated with the conduct of annual agricultural shows, and costs towards new infrastructure or upgrade and maintenance to showground facilities essential to the operation of the annual agricultural show.
The current funding allocation is for the period 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023.
2022–23 Shows impacted by COVID-19 and severe weather events
The Queensland Government remains committed to supporting funded organisations which continue to be impacted by the Novel Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and severe weather events.
Where an organisation is unable to conduct its annual agricultural show due to the direct impact of the COVID-19 pandemic or severe weather events, the organisation must advise the department of the cancellation. However, the organisation may acquit its grant against any incurred eligible costs. In these cases, organisations are encouraged to consider using the available funding to invest in new infrastructure or upgrades and maintenance to showground facilities essential to the operation of the annual agricultural show.
