The Oxley Priority Development Area (PDA) aims to deliver new homes and community facilities while retaining vegetation and open space.

The site is proposed to include a new residential community within a bushland setting, retirement or 'ageing-in-place' accommodation, community facilities and the relocated C&K Yuingi Child Care Centre from flood-prone land.

It covers approximately 19 hectares and is 11 kilometres southwest of the Brisbane CBD.

The PDA was declared on 10 August 2018.

Development scheme

A development scheme is the regulatory document that assists with planning, carrying out, promoting, coordinating and controlling land development within a PDA.

The Oxley PDA Development Scheme ( 5.4 MB) came into effect on 9 August 2019.

The proposed development scheme was publicly notified from 25 February 2019 to 5 April 2019. A submissions report ( 506 KB) was prepared.

Development assessment

Economic Development Queensland will assess all development applications for this PDA against the Oxley PDA development scheme.

The development application for the master plan and stage one residential subdivision was publicly notified from Wednesday 8 April until Monday 11 May 2020.

Prior to the approval of the development scheme, development within the PDA was regulated under the Interim Land Use Plan ( 1.55 MB).

Infrastructure

Funding and building infrastructure is key to facilitating development within PDAs.

The Oxley PDA Development Charges and Offset Plan (DCOP) ( 850.8 KB) identifies relevant development charges, how these charges are calculated, levied and administered, and the trunk infrastructure required to service the PDA.
