Declared in 2006, the former Bundamba to Swanbank State Development Area (SDA) was a 7.6-kilometre infrastructure corridor near Ipswich.
It was designed to be used principally for the construction, operation and maintenance of critical water pipeline infrastructure.
This infrastructure has been built and is operational, fulfilling the objectives of the Bundamba to Swanbank SDA.
Because it was no longer required, on 9 May 2013 the Coordinator-General revoked the declaration of the SDA and repealed its development scheme.
The assessment and determination of any material change of use applications within the former Bundamba to Swanbank SDA is now the responsibility of Ipswich City Council.
