Remote Area Boards (RABs) have flexibility to use funding for a wide range of projects and activities. Proposed projects must:

  • increase investment and economic development opportunities in the region
  • support regional employment and skills opportunities
  • improve the financial viability and sustainability of the RAB.

To date, funding has been used for things like developing tourism products; attracting and retaining business opportunities and investment in the regions; and improving services for industry.
