One of the greatest challenges in the biomedical field is bridging the gap between research and commercial application. It’s a process that takes time, money and, most of all, the right partnerships.
That’s why the Queensland Government is partnering with the Translational Research Institute (TRI) to bring MTPConnect to Brisbane to speak about the opportunities they can offer to foster the connections and collaborations needed for success.
MTPConnect is a not-for-profit organisation formed in November 2015 as part of the Federal Government's $248 million Industry Growth Centres Initiative. Their mission is to accelerate the rate of growth of the medical technologies and pharmaceuticals industry to achieve greater commercialisation and establish Australia as an Asia-Pacific hub for MTP companies.
At this free event, chaired by Professor Ian Frazer, attendees will get to hear firsthand from biomedical industry leaders about how to take their research from bench to bedside.
Building Connections: How MTPConnect Can Help is being delivered by TRI and the Queensland Government as part of the Queensland government’s development of a Biomedical and Life Sciences 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan, which will diversify Queensland's industry base, create high-value, well paid, knowledge-based jobs and drive export growth.
