GasFields Commission Review

The GasFields Commission is an independent statutory body established to manage and improve sustainable coexistence between rural landholders, regional communities and the onshore gas industry. The commission was formally established in July 2013, at a time of rapid development of the coal seam gas to liquefied natural gas (CSG-LNG) industry.

Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) - government response

The Queensland Government has delivered on its election commitments to investigate the impacts of the use of fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) workforces in Queensland.

The Aurukun Bauxite Project

Throughout 2012/2013, with the assistance of a probity auditor, the Queensland Government conducted a Competitive Bid Process to select a Preferred Proponent to develop the Aurukun Bauxite Project. On 19 August 2014, Glencore was selected as the preferred developer for the project and a Development Agreement was negotiated in December 2014.
