The Queensland Government is continuing their rigorous assessment of the final two bids received from Greenland Crown Resorts and the Destination Brisbane Consortium (Echo Entertainment Group, Far East Consortium (Australia) and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises) for the Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct.

A decision on the preferred proponent is expected in 2015.

Exciting news for the Commissariat Store

Commissariat StoreThe Commissariat Store, located in the Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct, has been digitally scanned using a mobile laser 3D mapping system, as part of an international project to record 500 sites across the world.

The building is one of three Queensland heritage sites to have been selected for inclusion in the CyArk 500 Challenge and will become part of a free, 3D online library.

North Quay ferry terminal upgrade

North Quay ferry terminalAfter being severely damaged in the 2011 flood, the temporary North Quay ferry terminal is being upgraded to become a more flood resilient, more accessible, permanent terminal. When complete the North Quay Terminal will be flood resilient, have improved accessibility for people with a mobility or vision impairment, help to provide a more efficient transport network and cater for the increasing number of passengers over the next 50 years.

Construction of the permanent flood resilient ferry terminal is expected to be completed in mid-2015, weather permitting.
