Waterfront Brisbane

The $2.1 billion Dexus Waterfront Brisbane proposal is a unique opportunity to transform Brisbane’s Eagle Street Pier and surrounds into a leading premium business and lifestyle destination.

The proposal presents the opportunity to create a revitalised precinct: with a new and improved Riverwalk, more riverfront access and enhanced public open space and amenity.

On 19 December 2019, the Queensland Government announced the signing of a facilitation agreement with Dexus enabling the company to commence the detailed design and development application process.

If approved, Dexus estimates that 1,120 annual construction jobs (on average) over the next 10 years will be created, with an additional 916 operational jobs supported once completed.

This is a landmark project. Dexus estimates the project will provide a $5.7 billion boost to Queensland’s Gross State Product over the next 40 years, including $230 million in value added to our State’s construction and professional services sectors.
