The Biofutures Commercialisation Program seeks to attract national and international bioindustrial expertise to partner with Queensland researchers and/or businesses to scale-up and test new or improved technologies and processes from the pilot or demonstration scale in Queensland.

Applications closed 18 April 2017 and no new applications are being accepted. Successful recipients were announced 22 June 2017 including: Southern Oil, MP Holdings (trading as MSF Sugar), Woods Grain, Burdekin BioFutures Project, and Aquatec Maxon.

The Biofutures Commercialisation Program is administered by the Department of Science, Information Technology and Innovation, and supported through the Advance Queensland initiative.
