The third stage of upgrades to the Cherbourg Material Recovery Facility will increase its productivity from 3000 tonnes per annum to 3500 tonnes per annum.
Works for Stage 3 include extending the operations shed and its supporting pad to accommodate all further development stages, undertaking associated drainage works, and installing a new automated paper and cardboard baling machine that will be integrated into the production line.
When complete, the upgrades will enhance the facility’s sustainability and support jobs as well as strengthening existing relationships with business partners and enabling growth in new regional partnerships.
