- Round: 3
Residents and businesses in Ayr will be more flood resilient with upgrades to an underground storm water drainage system.
The system in Edwards Street services a commercial and high-density residential area as well as a section of the Bruce Highway traversing the catchment. The upgrade will address localised flooding affecting businesses, residential accessibility, parked cars in the road reserve, and water pooling on the highway due to the inadequate capacity of the existing system. Project works will also improve the area's access and amenity, and reduce the risk of damage to equipment and business interruption.
