The Minister’s Planning Awards are open for nominations! If you’re studying a planning-related degree at a Queensland university, apply below and you could win a cash prize or an internship with us.

Three awards are being offered:

  • Minister’s Planning Award (thesis/research project)
    • Prize: $2000 cash
  • Minister’s Planning Award (set topic)
    • Topic: Responding to planning challenges of technological advances such as drones, artificial intelligence, driverless vehicles and other emerging technologies.
    • Prize: four-week paid internship
  • Female Student in Planning Award (entry via university nomination only)
    • Prize: four-week paid internship

How to apply

To apply, please complete the form below and attach all relevant documentation. Entries close 5 pm Friday 26 June 2020.

Before you complete this form, please ensure you and the nominee(s) (if applicable), have read, understood and agree to the Minister’s Planning Awards guidelines, including the assessment criteria, and the Minister’s Planning Awards privacy and security statement.

Please ensure all nominees confirm in writing that their entry is their original, unpublished work, except for any third-party material which is appropriately used, acknowledged and referenced in accordance with standard academic practice and copyright law via a signed copy of the submission acknowledgement form.

For university representative or lecturer nominations: you must attach a copy of each nominee's written confirmation and agreement of their nomination to this form.
