The Woolloongabba Priority Development Area (PDA) is located in the suburb of Woolloongabba, two kilometres south of Brisbane's CBD.
The 10 hectare site is between Vulture Street to the north, Stanley Street to the south, Allen Street to the west and Main Street to the east.
The PDA was declared on 23 April 2010.
The development scheme is the regulatory document which assists with planning, carrying out, promoting, coordinating and controlling land development within the PDA.
The Woolloongabba PDA Development Scheme ( 3.7 MB) commenced on 15 April 2011.
A minor administrative amendment to the development scheme was approved on 6 September 2019.
The minor administrative amendment facilitates the delivery of sections of tunnel and station in accordance with existing approvals already provided by the state’s independent Coordinator-General.
Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) assesses development applications for this PDA.
All development applications are assessed against the development scheme.
Funding and building infrastructure is key to facilitating development within PDAs and is outlined in the Infrastructure Funding Framework.
