The Gladstone Area Water Board and SunWater Limited have prepared additional information to the draft environmental impact statement (AEIS) for the Lower Fitzroy River Infrastructure Project.
The additional information was prepared at the request of the Coordinator-General to address matters raised in submissions on the draft EIS.
The Coordinator-General has released the AEIS for public and government agency comment.
You are invited to make a submission on whether the AEIS adequately addresses the matters raised in submissions on the draft EIS.
The Coordinator-General will consider your submission as part of his assessment of the project’s environmental impacts.
Submissions close at 5pm on 27 June 2016.
Increased water security
The raising and construction of the weirs are among the water infrastructure projects proposed in the state government's Central Queensland Regional Water Supply Strategy.
